Heaven in Healthcare 2021
Bringing Heaven’s Resources to the World of Healthcare
Celebrating, Supporting, Encouraging and Equipping Healthcare Workers
Covid-19 has affected the world in an unprecedented way, and healthcare workers across the world have responded in extraordinary ways. However, they remain under severe pressure and struggle to meet demand with limited resources.
Heaven’s resources are needed now more than ever to supplement the limitations of our human resources. This is what Heaven in Healthcare is for – a community of like-minded people who are joining together in their faith to support, encourage, celebrate and equip one another. In doing so they can see the reality of peace, joy, miracles, wisdom, creativity and breakthroughs in their everyday lives as Healthcare workers.
Heaven in Healthcare is already making a real difference – we have many stories of good news to tell, and we expect many more in the future. Our previous conferences have been very special – we have experienced God moving powerfully among us restoring hope, building faith, building community and releasing dreams.
Indeed, we expect that Heaven in Healthcare 2021 is going to be an extraordinary event as we spend time together in God’s presence. There will be vibrant worship led by Eastgate Music, stimulating teaching, encounters with God, breakout sessions on specific subjects, and plenty of time in-between to build friendships.
In response to requests, this year’s conference will run over two days, but one-day tickets will also be available. To show our gratitude towards Healthcare workers at this particular time and to celebrate you all, the price has intentionally been reduced this year.
Please read our terms and conditions as booking signified acceptance of these.
Dr Pete Carter
Pete Carter is one of the senior leaders at Eastgate, a church in Kent, UK. He is also a medical doctor and has a particular passion to see the world of medicine affected by the power and love of God, and for Christian healing to sit alongside good medicine for the sake of any who choose to benefit from it.
Along with others, he founded the Healing Centre at Eastgate in 2011. Since then, thousands have experienced the presence and peace of God in a joyful environment, and many miraculous healings have occurred. Towards the end of 2018 the Healing Centre was acknowledged by local doctors as a Complementary Service which could be recommended to patients.
In recent years, together with a great team, he has been busy developing Heaven in Healthcare, a charity which provides support and resources to help Christians involved in all aspects of healthcare to access and manifest the fullness of heaven in their different contexts.
Pete is the author of Unwrapping Lazarus, an inspirational book subtitled “Free to live as God intended”, and is currently finishing his second book which is due to be published shortly. His heart is to see the full potential of Christianity realised through our daily lives. He spends his time developing the people of Eastgate, pursuing healing, and helping other churches and ministries to grow leadership structures that reflect a heavenly model.
Wouter van Twillert
Wouter van Twillert (MHA, BSW) has worked in mental health care in the Netherlands and the Caribbean since the early 1990s. After years of being the director responsible for a 500 staff mental health organization, he decided 7 years ago to start a community and share his life 24/7 with a group of people with mental health issues. From there came the desire for a larger location where community, health care, training, church, care for the poor and other services could be provided. In January 2020, a monastery in Maastricht was commissioned for this purpose.
Martin qualified as a social worker in 1997 and specialised in providing personalised care for disabled children, young people, those with complex health needs, life limiting conditions and their families. Martin has 20 years’ experience working in the NHS as a clinician, operational manager, lead commissioner and management consultant. Dr Jenne Kang
Dr. Jennifer Kang is an Obstetrician-Gynecologist practicing in Redding, California, where she resides with her husband and four children. She received her B.S in Neuroscience and M.D. at the University of Rochester, and then completed residency training in Ob/Gyn at Brown University/Women & Infants Hospital. She then served several years in the US southwest Indian Health Service, where she began to discover the benefits of combining her medical training with spiritual lifestyle and supernatural healing in a way that would more comprehensively meet the needs of the whole person.
In 2013, she moved with her husband and children to Redding, California and founded Selah Women’s Health, a private medical practice where partnership with Holy Spirit is seen as central to healing. She dreams of continuing to desegregate the excellence of academic and spiritual healing in the spheres of medical science, and desires to energize Christian medical providers to dream of new models for better care and research. Her goal is to see this practice expand beyond women’s health through cross-discipline partnerships based on Kingdom honour.
Her other current interests include calling medical providers to be healers with Holy Spirit, energizing education of medical providers in these new models, and promoting scientific research in a Kingdom model.
