Who can apply?

The Eastgate Gap programme is for 18-25 year olds.

What are the dates of Eastgate Gap Year?

The 2019-20 GAP year runs from 19th September 2019 to 22nd May 2020. There are approximately 30 weeks with breaks at Christmas and Easter.

What is the difference between the Eastgate GAP year and daytime school?

The GAP year is a full time programme volunteering and studying at Eastgate. As well as attending daytime school on Thursday and Friday you will spend two days during the week volunteering within a department at Eastgate and be fully integrated into church life. You will be part of our Sunday teams, and have 2 days off each week.

Where would I live?

We will help link you up to families or rented properties that you may want to live in during your time on the GAP year. You will need to meet the accommodation costs, which are approximately £300-£350 a month in our area.

How much will it cost?

The GAP fees are £950, with several payment plans available. In addition to this you will need to pay for accommodation and your living expenses through the year.

How do I apply?

There is a written application form which you can download or do online. After this there will be an informal interview so we can be confident the Gap Year programme is a good fit for you.
