Glitterbugs group is for children aged 3 (reliably able to use a toilet) to year R. We recognise that each child is unique and provide a variety of activities to help each child to connect with others and have fun. Our session is largely play based to encourage development of the all-important social skill of interacting with others in order to develop friendships. We also enjoy times of worship, prayer and story-telling in a safe environment where the children can encounter Jesus in a personal way.
The group meets in an attractive room with access to an outside area. It is helpful if children come with coats or sunscreen as necessary so they can enjoy outdoor play.
We have an excellent team – dedicated and passionate about supporting children at this foundational stage in life. We understand that some may be nervous about being left in a new group so we endeavour to make this as easy as possible. We encourage parents to leave their children with us as a first step towards independence, but are happy for a parent to stay for an initial few minutes to settle their child if need be. We have an efficient system in place to inform you and call you to the room immediately should your child need you after you have left the group.
Please ensure that the team are aware of any allergies or special needs your child may have so that we can give the best possible care to your child. Our Glitterbugs team is currently overseen by Kim Carter. Please feel free to speak directly to her should you have any further questions or wish to share with her anything the team need to know.
